I feel pretty lucky to be a short bicycle ride form this well stocked and friendly neighborhood grocery. They were the first to reopen in the early weeks of covid, not much of an understatement to say they were our first responders!
Village Market is the best!!!! I go to Wayne State and come here for lunch some times. My friends told me about the place and said their hot bar was great. I stopped in once and now I stop in almost every time I have class in person! The people are so nice and the hot bar is amazing with a different theme every day of the week. Wish I could give it more than 5 stars. Also selection is great and everything is very aesthetically pleasing how all the products are placed.
This place is awesome! My favorite thing there is the homemade sauces they make that are family recipes for years! Their wine selection is endless. Johnathan is such a pleasure to work with and always has the best recommendations!! His knowledge is endless honestly a really great guy. I've been coming here for years, no end in sight. 10/10
I haven't heard of this place until now, but I was able to get food from it. Getting birria tacos with lime cream and their sauce to dip them in on Tuesdays is something I strongly recommend. I consider it a masterpiece and it has become my favorite dish to order! Their wings are both perfect and juicy! Their sherpa's pie is a favorite of mine and their salmon lox is so delicate! I am fond of certain foods from their menu that I would like to order repeatedly. I visited there and it was a gorgeous grocery store.
I love this place! Honestly I forget that we can get pizza here. The pizza is made in a pizza oven and is nice and thin, the cheese decadent and very saucy. The cheese bread was soo delicious too! It had almost like a cheesy sauce on it?? The seasoning was nice and garlicky too. Overall amazing!
Just tried their pizza for the first time. It's great! High quality cheese and sauce with a crispy crust that was perfectly charred. The margherita was especially good. I had slices that were already made; if I ordered I'd ask for the margherita without the olive oil. But it was still really good. Everything in their store is always high quality.
